How to Survive if You are Earning 4000 AED in UAE
Minimize Your Spending; Maximize Your Savings
UAE is a Middle Eastern country is a federation of 7 emirates that was established on December 2, 1971. The country’s oil reserves are the 7th largest in the world. The biggest cities in the UAE are well developed with updated and urban landscapes and facilities. Most of the population in the cities are cosmopolitan by nature with a huge section of the residents being foreign expatriates and other locals. The 7 emirates of UAE are Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Um Al Quwain. The cost of living in different emirates varies.
The different expenses that are necessary to survive are Transportation, Clothing, Sports and Leisure, Markets, Utilities/month, Rent/month and Eating Cost. So, to survive with an earning of 4000 AED in UAE depends on your lifestyle on the mentioned expenses and in which emirates you are staying. It depends upon your style of living and your status in UAE (single or couple or family).
A Decent Lifestyle in Dubai
An example, if life in Dubai and the food, transportation and rent bills are paid by your company. You may lead a properly designed, organized and decent lifestyle largely depending on your spending habits. You really can go about with shopping sprees and malls in Marina region or hang around always at the expensive restaurants in the JBR with that small amount per month, but on the other hand, you may have your bargain shopping sprees and visits from the inexpensive places in this Rich town, which most of the time has a decent quality at affordable prices, in terms of weariness and durability. You can easily keep 2000 AED on savings with this amount, but you need to minimize your spending habits then and live off cheaper items. But if food, transportation and rent are not paid by your company then it will be much harder to survive. This condition works if you are single and share your stay with others. But staying along with family the survival will be extremely difficult.
A Decent Lifestyle in Abu Dhabi
Another example, if live in Abu Dhabi. This could be sufficient but again it completely depends on your lifestyle. If you are a foodie then it will take minimum 50 AED per day and I hope transportation to and from the office is only covered and if you really want to visit some of the most happening places in the city, you may need to hire a taxi which actually can be a little expensive. Regarding all the weekend plans, if you are planning a trip to Dubai, it would cost you a minimum of 200 AED to spend your weekend happily over there. So, after considering food and all other miscellaneous expenses, your expenses would come around 1500 – 2000 AED per month and happily you can save around 2000 AED per month. But this is possible if you are single. Under the assumption that you’re single, the cheapest option available to live would be ad-space that would cost you around 800 AED on an average. Food would be around 1500 AED. Transportation and other expenses like mobile recharge would set you back by 500 AED.
