Earth Day 2015: Google Doodle celebrates with animation that leads to quiz
Google has done its bit to celebrate Earth Day 2015, the largest civic event in the world, with one of its trademark doodles.
Millions of people across the globe celebrate Earth Day on April 22. It was created in 1970, when around 20 million Americans took part in rallies across the country, and is believed to mark the beginning of the worldwide environmental movement.
Google is celebrating the annual event by creating an animated Doodle featuring a rotating Earth and creatures including an elephant and a komodo dragon.
It is not the first time Google has celebrated Earth Day with a doodle, here are some others they have done over the years. In a doodle first, clicking on this year’s Earth Day logo (or searching for “Earth Day quiz”) takes you to a quiz where you can discover which animal most closely represents your personality.
