The 10 Best Schools in Dubai 2016
Select a school for your child carefully
Selecting the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will have to make as a parent. A student spends about 15,000 hours in school until the age of 18. The school you choose will be responsible for shaping your child’s behavioural patterns, manners, social skills, ideas and basically their futures.
There are several things you need to keep in mind when selecting a school. You first need to have a budget. Then check what curriculum you would like your child to study. Remember, as an expat, you’re probably not going to be here forever, so choose a curriculum that will allow your child to seamlessly transfer into a similar curriculum back home or wherever you plan to finally settle down.
To get you started, here’s a list of the top schools in Dubai according to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), which is the schools regulatory authority of the Government of Dubai. It provides a comprehensive review of the performance of each school in Dubai.
Based on these reviews it publishes reports about each school which in turn enables parents in Dubai to make informed decisions when selecting schools for their children. KHDA Inspectors evaluate school performance using a number of quality indicators. These are applied consistently across all schools in Dubai.
