However, countable outworks have survived yet Roman and Ottoman architecture can be witnessed elegantly. Despite all, the city is a transporting hub leading travelers to other beautiful destinations. Arts and cultures and museums flourish throughout the city.
  1. Konya– Konya is a large city, in fact, the seventh largest city in Turkey’s Central Anatolia Region. This area is economically and industrially rich. It is also the capital of Konya province. Alaeddin Mosque and the ruins of the Seljuk Palace reside in this city. Konya was also the home of the Persian theologian and Sufi mystic, Rumi; his mausoleum is a must-see site in Konya.
  1. Antalya Beaches and lush green mountains dotted with ancient ruins lay in this land. From swimming and sailing to mountain climbing, sightseeing and family fun, Antalya offers something for everyone, no matter what kind of sports lover you are you can always rely on this place since you can very likely find your interesting game. Also if you are fond of walking, a walk around Kaleiçi, the Old Quarter, offers an ambulation into the city’s ancient past with views of the old city walls, Roman gates, maze-like streets and historic structures. You can also spot a clock tower during your tour.
  1. Marmaris Located in a beautiful location itself Marmaris is settled between two intersecting mountains by the sea. Tourism is the main source of income here. Marmaris muster mountains, beaches, waters and historic architecture. If this doesn’t fill your heart, you can plan day trips from Marmaris to outstanding destinations like Dalyan, Ephesus, Pamukkale and Cleopatra Island.
  1. Bodrum- Bodrum was anciently called as Halicarnassus of Caria which sheltered Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Castle of St. Peter, also known as Bodrum Castle is a must visit.
  1. Ephesus Ephesus was one of the largest cities in all of the Roman Empire, which also consisted one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis. Its attractions include the massive Theatre, the Temple of Hadrian and the magnificent Celsus Library, a two-story structure that sheltered more than 12,000 scrolls. 1. Istanbul Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and also stands a place in one of the largest city in the world. This city nests impressive historic sites as it is one the oldest city known which include Hagia Sophia also known as Aya Sofya (museum), Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. It is the most populous city and the only sea route between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.
  1. Pamukkale One of my personal favourites. Pamukkale (“Cotton Castle” in English).  The pure white travertine terraces of Pamukkale drop down the slope looking like a snowfield in the midst of the green landscape. At dusk, this place looks gorgeous when the travertines glow as the sun sinks below the horizon.

Not only these but you can also visit Cappadocia which is also formed by an ancient volcanic eruption; it consists of underground tunnels. You can take a hot air balloon ride if you don’t want to walk through the city as this city comes under the world’s top destinations to take a hot air balloon ride. Turkey has Topkapi Palace which extends up to Europe and down through the Middle East and into Africa. There is this Sumela monastery which is very stunning. Mouny Nemru and side are also a good place to unpack bags. If this much is not enough you can also go to Mardin that once served as an astronomical observatory.
